What is a Lifer?
It's important to understand what a "Lifer" is. A Lifer is when you spot and identify a new bird species that you have not seen before. It is a personal cumulative record list that helps you keep track of which birds you have seen.
A great way to keep track of this is by creating an eBird account. It's free!
eBird will allow you to keep track of your Species Observed and even let you upload your photos to share with the eBird community. Learn more about eBird by visiting eBird Essentials.
